Phoenix is a girl

The strangest thing happened last night. Phoenix laid about 12 eggs. We've come to find out (thanks to Google and beardeddragon.org) that this is common for female bearded dragons and that she might do this every year. Interesting. She had a hard time and is exhausted. We're hoping she snaps out of it soon. The pet store guy said to remove the eggs. Luke was in a panic this morning wondering what happened to them since he was looking forward to 12 baby dragons. I had to break the news to him that all the eggs were duds.
